The Serviced Apartment Concept

What’s with all the fuss about the “Extended Stay” travel?

Everybody seems to be talking about it these days: Corporate Housing. Boardinghouses. Serviced Apartments. It all started with airbnb revolutionising the way we sleep when travelling, with especially families and couples choosing to stay in furnished flats and houses rather than making an expensive hotel reservation. Why do so many travellers (approx. 1.6 Million were registered in Munich in 2016, source: AHGZ) still prefer to sleep in an apartment? And more importantly: what about the highly-praised advantages for Business Travellers? Do they exist?  We looked into it for you.

The Business Traveller magazine calls it “affordable living” in one of their latest articles, the Management-Circle titles a “symbiosis between a flat and a hotel”. But what exactly are Serviced Apartments?

A Serviced Apartment primarily offers, as the name suggests, a service. That means, that you will not be staying in the flat of some private landlord, but in a hotel-like building that comes with a reception and other amenities. Depending on the concept, Serviced Aparments can either follow a full service or limited service policy. The main difference between staying at an apartment that is part of a Serviced Apartment concept and staying at a hotel is the kitchenette, or sometimes even fully equipped kitchen, that Serviced Apartments offer.

Here at my4walls Serviced Apartments, we offer four different apartment categories to choose from, which you can read more about >here<. Additionally, we offer a 24/7 front office as well as a rich breakfast buffet for our guests.

The Serviced Apartment concept is especially beneficial for business travellers. It starts with our longstay prices from 49€/night that apply when booking seven or more consecutive nights (economy category) and goes on to other amenities such as our storage room and the open concept ground floor with living room, Cook & Meet communal kitchen and well equipped fitness zone. Longstay guests will especially appreciate our laundromat area with washers and dryers (read up on all our other services >here<), making my4walls your perfect home away from home.

Convinced? We’d love to see you soon!
